A smartphone could be found in every house these days. Most children already have an Android device, whether a phone or tablet in use. So, it feels absolutely crucial to use these devices in productive and healthy ways. As a result, children's time isn't wasted and they can fulfill their goals of digital wellbeing. But how is that possible? Safes app has made it easy for parents and families, introducing the Smart Screen feature. Now let's get to know more about what it can do.

On the screen that pops up after tapping on Smart Screen, there are several items. At first, you can see Screen Time Average on different weekdays, and it can be different for each day according to children's usage of the device.

The first thing you can do is to Add Smart Screen. If you tap on it, you can see a new screen including Smart Screen name (which could be used to name the subject or reason for use), Start Time (which indicates starting time of limit rules) End Time (that indicates the ending time for the set rules and Usage Limit during the particular Smart Screen rule set by parents.

Note: Some apps like the Caller app are always allowed to use, so it means Smart Screen rules do not apply to them.

To choose a name for your Screen Time rule, you can tap on this part and type a title.

the item Start Time shows the time you want your rule to apply, you can tap on it and enter the time you want your rule to start.

to set an End Time to your rule, you can tap on it and enter the time you want your rule to end.

During the Screen Time rule you have set, you can decide how much time your child can spend on each app (previously set on Smart App Rules).

Note: Apps that are Always Allowed will always work, and apps that you blocked, will not work under any circumstance unless you unblock them.

The result of your settings could be something like the image below:

As you can see, by adding Study Time (as an example) to your Screen Time feature, you can apply the rule from 12:46 to 5:30, and during the rule, usage of certain applications set in Smart App Rules will be limited. For example, your child would be able to use the YouTube app for only 2 hours during Study Time (for educational videos of course).

You can also set this rule for custom days of the week. For example, during the weekdays, you can set some rules to limit some apps' usage, and for the weekend, you can set different limits.

Tip: You can name your Smart Screen according to your child's daily activities, such as Study Time, Launch, Break Time, etc.

The next available option in this feature is the Instant Block. By activating Instant Block, all the applications on your child's phone will be blocked, and if your child tries to open any application (except for Always Allowed), the application will automatically close.

Bed Time: as the name indicates, you can activate and use this feature to prevent your child from using his or her phone during Bed Time. This helps children get enough rest and avoid playing on their phones during night time which is really important for their wellbeing.

Bed Time mode is customizable. You can set Bed Time rules for your child and make sure during that time they won't be using their phone.

Set up is so much similar to the Screen Time setup. All you have to do is to set your desired Start Time and End Time. you can also limit the amount of time your child uses different applications except for Always Allowed apps. There is a possibility to schedule the rule for different days of the week, so you have a variety of possibilities to manage Bed Time for your child.
