So many websites are out there…. That shouldn't be! Violence, drugs, crime, and porn, are all something that has to be omitted from the lives of our children. But it is not that easy. There must be a way to filter the web to protect children's innocent nature and help them grow up in a world full of happiness and health. That is exactly why Safes is here to help parents and children experience a healthy cyber life.

Safes have offered different ways to protect children, and probably one of the most useful features it offers is Web Filter. Pretty much similar to Safe Search, Web Filter works with URLs and websites that share harmful content. Options and features are easy to handle and you can easily set the filters you have in mind.

How to filter URLs?

By tapping on configuration, you can set which websites you want to allow your child to use and which websites you want to block due to their harmful nature. Very similar to Safe Search, there is also a list of categories and content you can either choose to block to prevent access, or you can always allow your child to search them on the internet.

To block a category in question you can tap on configuration, and on the page that pops up, tap on add exception. Scroll down on the list of categories, and turn on the category you want to block. When you block an item on the category list, all the websites through the internet that might contain the subject (adult content for example) will be blocked and children cannot access them. Trying to search a blocked content will result in stopping the browser from searching.

How to add exceptions?

If there is a category that you always want to allow your child to use, tap on the Exception buttons, and choose Add exception. Then enter the intended URL in the bar and choose the type of access you want for that URL. After applying the setting, you will see the list on your screen.

Note: URLs and categories will be updated from time to time. Because it's important to prevent new harmful content from reaching children.

After choosing the URLs you either want to allow use or block, you are able to see the list.

If you don't want to block or allow a URL anymore, you can tap of Trash icon to delete it.

Web Activity Report: If you want to get a record of what children have searched on their browsers in detail, you can tap on Web Activity Record. The chart indicates the Total searched URLs and also you can see the number of URLs blocked by Safes.

You can check the reports Daily and Weekly, according to your need.

The reports of searches done on children's devices are Live, meaning that at the same time the search for a topic, you can see that in your Web Filter Reports. Reports containing blocked URLs are displayed in red.
