Learn how to create a new profile for a new class on Safes School Basic.

Safes School helps teachers, parents and students have discipline, peace of mind, and fun at school. Creating a Safe Environment and providing security for the schools and students, Safes helps to improve education by monitoring web activity among students. Using different options and fostering various techniques, Safes is built to manage and control the content students view on the internet.

Safes comes in two plans: Basic and Advanced.

In this article, we will teach you how to create a new profile for your school.

Safes School Basic: Creating a new profile for a class

Profiles are where you apply rules to devices or classes. You decide and arrange the rules for your classes through this part and after that, you can change them.

To create a new profile and apply rules, follow the steps below.

  1. Click on Profile tab on Safes School Basic

  2. Write your profile name and click start

  3. On smart app rules, choose your OS (based on the device you have paired). A list of applications will show up.

  1. Block/allow/ apps you want to manage

  2. Add exceptional apps using “Add exceptions”

  3. Determine the apps you want to allow or block according to desirable days

  4. Press Continue

The next rule you can manage is Safe Search. This enables you to block/ allow specific keywords you find inappropriate or suitable for your children.

To set rules on keywords:

  1. Scroll down and choose the category you want to block,

  2. If you have exceptional keywords to allow or block, click on add an exception,

  3. Enter the keyword,

  4. Choose to allow or block the keyword

  5. Press Add

  6. Save the settings.

Web Filter works similarly to Safe Search, but the focus is on websites and URLs.

Screen time is the last step of profile setup. To arrange a screen time rule,

  1. Click “add screen time”,

  2. From the slide menu on the right, Add a name

  3. Choose the day for the screentime, (it can be custom days or every day)

  4. Press “Save”.

After it’s done, press Finish.

After these steps, click on Activate profile to start using the rules.

You can use the “Add profile” button to add other profiles with different rules as well.
