Updated over a week ago

Welcome to the Safes School Advanced user manual. In this manual, I’m going to show step-by-step how Safes School Advanced works. It’s not much different from Safes School Basic, there are only a few extra tabs, which will be instructed clearly here.

Read: What is Safes School?

To add a new device to Safes School, follow the steps below

  1. On the Safes School advanced panel, click on the devices tab

  2. Click Add a New device

  3. Choose the class you want to assign the device to

  4. You can use the code generated before or you can generate a new one

  5. Enter the code on Safes Kids app

Now that the devices are paired, you will be able to receive the information on your panels.

Profiles are where you apply rules to devices or classes. You decide and arrange the rules for your classes through this part and after that, you can change them.

To create a new profile and apply rules, follow the steps below.

  1. Click on the Profile tab on Safes School Basic

  2. Write your profile name and click start

  3. On smart app rules, choose your OS (based on the device you have paired). A list of applications will show up.

  4. Block/allow/ apps you want to manage

  5. Add exceptional apps using “Add exceptions”

  6. Determine the apps you want to allow or block according to desirable days

  7. Press Continue

The next Rule you can manage is Safe Search. This enables you to block/ allow specific keywords you find inappropriate or suitable for your children.

To set rules on keywords;

  1. Scroll down and choose the category you want to block,

  2. If you have exceptional keywords to allow or block, click on add an exception,

  3. Enter the keyword,

  4. Choose to allow or block the keyword

  5. Press Add

  6. Save the settings.

Web Filter works similarly to Safe Search, but the focus is on websites and URLs.

The order to set rules for websites is the same as the previous path, the only difference is that when adding exceptions, you will have to add a, and not just a keyword.

Screen time is the last step of profile setup. To arrange a screen time rule,

  1. Click “add screen time”,

  2. From the slide menu on the right, Add a name

  3. Choose the day for the screentime, (it can be custom days or every day)

  4. Press “Save”.

After it’s done, press Finish.

Then you will see a page with all the information on it, and you can assign your profile to a class.

After these steps, click on Activate profile to start using the rules.

You can use the “Add profile” button to add other profiles with different rules as well.
